About this blog

This blog records marks on the urban landscape in St Kilda. It also collects stories and images lost and found. The work invites the viewer to look beyond the architecture, people, cars and landscape and speculate on the traces of life left on the streets.

Writing in public space (formerly City Traces) is my other blog that extends the idea that these urban traces provide clues for deciphering the narratives of the cultural terrain. —

Keep moving

Pakington St East St Kilda

When J went back to take another photo somebody had covered her stencil by leaning the mattress against a wall. She left it as it was. It wasn’t her turf.
